We stumbled upon Nepal Planet Treks walking down the main strip in Pakanajol Thamel Kathmandu , we couldn’t have asked for a better company to organize a Trek with. There inital advice was friendly and informed with no expectation of booking. They made sure we were choosing the best Trek for us and our experience not the one which made the company the most money. We really did not want a busy trek, there are many tourists doing Everest Base camp , Poon Hill and Annapurna base camp and we wanted to avoid this as much as possible. We also had a desire to bird watch and explore the forests of Nepal. The Mardi Himal trek was the perfect trek, we rarely saw other hikers, We spent three great days in Rhododendron forests in the foothills of the Himalayas and finished with two great alpines days above 3600m in waist deep snow. Our guide Sanjib was accommodating and made sure our every need was looked after. Upon arriving back in Pokhara we were taken out for a nice coffee by the gracious owner Nepal Planet Treks NJ . He showed us around his new office space in Paknajol. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to do a trek with a family owned company, with over 20 years of experience. You will not be disappointed by the service you receive.
